What do I need to show off my Splats?

Splats Splat their best on a hard, smooth surface.  Glazed Tile, Vinyl Tile, Linoleum, Glass, Plexiglass, etc. Gym floors are cool, wood floors depend on the glaze or wax.  Vinyl Tile seems to work the best.

Go to Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, etc. and purchase a "pre-cut" panel.  3/8" to 1/2" thick plywood sized 2x2 (that's 2 foot square.)  Then go to their flooring area and purchase 4 - 1 foot square "peel and stick" vinyl floor tiles in a light color, or light pattern. Your total cost for these items should be about $4.00

Peel off the tape from the 4 tiles and place them on the panel and trim off any excess.  Then put the panel on the floor and use your weight to press them down into the board so they stick well.

Carry with you a canister of disenfecting wipes or glass cleaner wipes.  You can pop out a wipe to clean off your display board after a hundred splats or so.

Now whenever you wish to demonstrate your splats, pull out the board, lay it on the ground and tell the customer to throw their splat down on your "floor"

How to splat properly.

Just as it takes practise to "skip a stone" on a lake, it takes practise to achieve the perfect Splat.  Throwing a Splat straight down gets a bouncing affect and not a very good Splat.  If you stand a few feet away from your board and throw the splat from an angle, the Splat tends to stick to the board on contact and then "spread out" (The best Splat possible)  I call it "sliding the Splat"  Practise a few times.  If Splat doesn't stick it's getting dirty.  Wash it in warm soapy water, rinse, then air dry (or towel lightly)

Patter is important

As you Splat, say something like "Drop them splat, They come right back"  It is also very important to talk while the customer splats their splat.

when Kids throw their Splat down, I always say "Ewwwwwww, what a Splat"

when Adults throw their Splat down, I always say "Gross isn't it?  Kids love Gross"  Plus the comment  "what Kid will ever forget the Christmas they got a Splat Egg in their stocking?

Then CLOSE the sale:  Say, "so how many people do you know that would laugh their butt off Splatting a Splat Christmas day?

You can upsell your Splats:  OFFER GIFT WRAPPING SERVICE for $1.00  Since these are called Chinese Splats, I offer to wrap them in chinese "take-out" boxes for $1 extra.
